Denmark is situated in the temperate climate zone, making the summers have an average temperature around 16 °C (60 °F) and the average temperature during the winter is around 0.5 °C (33 °F). Denmark has many light summer nights, where the sun doesn’t set before approx. 10:30 pm.

The Danes are one of the most cycling-happy people in the world. Alongside the Netherlands, it is the country in the world where the most people bike. Actually, nine out of ten Danes own a bicycle. The Danes go for a total of 2,531,799 bike rides every day, with an average of 3.1 km per trip — equal to going around the earth some 71,500 times.
